I'm Justin Grabe, Director of IT/OT at NAES Asset Solutions. With an engineering background, hands-on field experience from millwright to operations leadership, and graduate education in management underway, I build NIST- and NERC-compliant cybersecurity and technology programs for plants I understand from the inside out.
I'm a power plant professional with an engineering background and hands-on field experience, currently pursuing graduate education in management. I have a knack for returning and enhancing profitability and reliability at power plants, that's what I enjoy doing. I take complications and develop plans to overcome them.
As Director of IT/OT at NAES Asset Solutions, I lead end-to-end development of NIST- and NERC-compliant product lines that support cybersecurity and regulatory needs across 200+ internally managed power plants and a growing base of external customers. That perspective was built through Director of IT Projects at Caithness Energy, Operations Support Manager, Regional Manager and Operations Manager roles at EthosEnergy supporting up to 40 plants and 19,000 MW combined worldwide, and my start as a Maintenance Supervisor and Millwright at Veolia North America.
Cybersecurity and IT/OT programs work best when they're built by someone who understands the plant they're protecting. Here's where that experience applies.
When you work with me, you get more than a compliance checklist, you get a technology leader backed by NAES, the largest third-party operator of power plants in the U.S., who started as a millwright and knows what's actually running behind the firewall.
A compliant program that doesn't fit how a plant really operates doesn't last. I build mine from the plant floor up.
I ground every technology decision in real hands-on field & operations experience, not just a network diagram.
I map cybersecurity & compliance needs against NIST and NERC requirements before writing a single line of policy.
I develop repeatable, compliant product lines rather than one-off fixes that don't scale.
I roll programs out across internal plants and external customers alike, consistently.
A look at the roles that shape how I lead IT/OT & cybersecurity for power industry clients today.
Leading end-to-end development of NIST- and NERC-compliant product lines supporting cybersecurity & regulatory needs across 200+ internally managed power plants and a growing external customer base.
Supported 40 power plant operations capable of generating a combined total of 19,000 MW worldwide, following earlier roles as Regional Manager and Operations Manager.
Started as a Millwright, qualifying as senior millwright in 2010, then oversaw maintenance, modification and repairs on a ten-boiler district energy steam plant as Maintenance Supervisor.
Whether you're securing OT networks, meeting NERC compliance requirements, or need a technology leader who actually understands the plant floor, I work alongside the teams responsible for keeping both sides running.
Whether it's NERC compliance, a cybersecurity program you're building, or a technology need grounded in real plant operations, tell me what's going on and let's talk.
